I know it's not much, but this is an alpha example of what a Pokemon game would look like with hand drawn tiles with a brush. I know it's small, but any bigger and it ruins the quality of the image.

I think the trees turned out beautifully; much better than I had hoped. But what do you think of this style? Is it better, worse or just as good as the pixel art style of official games?

honestly, I think the idea of a Pokemon game with hand drawn tiles/graphics would look awesome! Also I think it would look more pleasing from a creative stand-point.. (not that I have room to talk on the creative side, but, I have an eye for good taste/quality.. just can't produce it as well..)
