Pokemon BW3: New Types by Midnitez-REMIX Pokemon BW3: New Types by Midnitez-REMIX
Comment Before You Favourite by BoffinbraiN
My signature "Glow" (light) type I use for all my Pokemon fangame projects, but starting in Pokemon Black and White 3 I will be introducing a new type called "Salve". Salve type is basically a healing type and is used to cure Poison type Pokemon of their poisonous natures. So not all, but most Poison type Pokemon found in the game will have a split Salve evolution line to show what a cured form of them would look like.

Salve type moves will be recovery and defensive moves and changes you'll find would include moves like "Protect" and "Recover". Enjoy! :D

Well, I thought Salve-types ment that they wouldn't SOLELY focus on healing-type moves but have a good focus on them while still being able to do damage
So... I'm not sure if I would train a salve-type if it can't learn any offensive moves without inheriting it from previous stages. I still like the concept, though.

To be honest, no one would train a Salve Type. Especially because training them would extremely annoying. I like the idea of supportive type, but you also should add something to make damage. It musn't be a strong move, but something to work with. Besides, are there some attacks or a type charts for them?

You could use a move like pain split or present. Just tweak it so it has  a 50/50 chance of healing an ally or attacking a foe.

If it's not at least a double battle, they won't have much to do.
I mean, the type itself is nice, but no offensive attacks would be a bit too much of disadvantage. But there are enough ways. Like combining damage and healing move or you could make only "weaker" moves. Another way would be making much more double battles. But in the end it's your game. I quite like the designs and it would be a shame if some of them can't be used, due to no offensive moves ;)

Does "Salve" work like Medic from The 7th Key, in the sense that those Pokémon can't attack?

If it is born a Salve type then yes, but if it evolved from another Pokemon which had damaging moves then there isn't anything I can do about that.

What's Salve weak to, anyway? I don't know what a healing element would be weak to other than Poison and Electric. Even the latter seems like a stretch...

Still working on that, but it won't be weak to Poison.

Only if they inherited damaging moves from their previous evolutions. But otherwise they don't learn any damaging moves.

They'd be useless in a solo battle then... I like the idea but for basic game play they'd be a hindrance

Well I'm sure I'm not the only one who likes to put another Pokemon in play while I heal the ones I need, so they could be good for that in solo battles. :)

Ah, so could there be new moves meant specifically for that purpose?
